Shroud Installation
The installation is pretty straighforward.
Some important point:
- Do not use the original screws, the are too long and will break your hashboard
- Fan spoofers should be working, but some recent Bitmain variant will not detect them. If you are in this situation the only solution is to use a 3rd Party OS like Braiins.
- PSU fan can be kept on with the shroud, can be disconnected but still be present in the PSU or can be fully removed in almost all ASICs.
- PSU fans do not requiert spoofers to be disconnected.
- If you remove PSU fan, 2 small plastic bars with hole will let you screw the PSU screws instead of using the fans.
Installation procedure
- Remove all fans and screws
- You will now have to remove the screws securing the control board on the top part of the miner.
- Remove fan from ports on the control board
- The fan spoofers are to use on the fan ports on the control board (Attention some s19k only have 2 regular fan ports, they are not compatible with spoofers)
- You can screw the Shroud in place of the front and back fans.
- Secure the shroud using the included screws if you took the KIT version
- DO NOT USE ORIGINAL SCREWS, THEY ARE TOO LONG
- The PSU part can be secured using the original screws on the internal PSU fans.
- Optional (not applicable to KS3M): To maximise performance, you can remove the PSU fans.
- ** BE CAREFUL TAKE ALL THE REQUIRE PRECAUTION, HIGH VOLTAGE**
- Disassemble the PSU part
- Remove the PSU fan connectors
- There is no need to use spoofers for PSU fans
- Unscrew the fans
- Take the 2 small bars with holes provided
- Use the original fan screws to secure the PSU part
Close everything back and enjoy :)
